Kiddie Dual Sensor Smoke Alarm Recall Notice

Kiddie Dual Sensor Smoke Alarm, Front

Kiddie is recalling over 450,000 dual-sensor smoke alarms due to a plastic cap that was left on during the manufacturing process. The cap might cover one of the sensors limiting the alarm’s ability to warn of a potential fire.

The smoke alarms that are being recalled are the PI2010 and PI9010 manufactured between September 10, 2016, and October 13, 2017. The date and model numbers are located on the back of the smoke alarm:

You may even be able to see the cap inside the smoke alarm:

Regardless of whether or not you see a yellow cap, you should still call Kiddie and initiate a recall.
